Bodø, Norway

The town of Bodø, the second biggest in Northern Norway, is the administrative center of Nordland County, and has all the service offerings of a modern town. Bodø has excellent travel connections, as the sea port, railway station and airport are located just a couple of kilometers of each other.

The Port of Bodø has been under continuous expansion and development during the course of the past 20 years and is one of only three Norwegian ports with the status:

• National port
• European Economic Area (EEA) port, and
• National Fisheries Port.

The Port of Bodø has been modernized and developed to meet the standards required for area, passenger and cargo handling in a busy modern world. Nevertheless, we have some exciting development plans that will be implemented in the years to come.

We take seriously our task of establishing an attractive environment in the Port of Bodø. We shall therefore continue our work to ensure that the Port of Bodø and our local partners offers the most comprehensive service package possible to our users on land, visiting ships & their passengers, the fishing fleet and the many leisure craft we welcome, both local and from afar.
