Facility expansions in 1998 allowed the Eastport Port Authority to enter into a series of record breaking years in our cargo operations. As a result the Port of Eastport is seen as one of the fastest growing cargo ports in all of New England. As the easternmost port in the United States, we are the closest port to European markets and our natural port is one of the deepest available. We have recently began making new investments to better serve the cruise ship and recreational boating industries along the east coast. The Port of Eastport is working diligently to show that it truly is a destination port. |
